The Focus: Smart long-term solutions, functional design for compact spaces, and a harmonious indoor-outdoor connection.
Design of a T2 apartment in Santa Catarina for a long-term rental investor. The main challenge was to optimize a compact kitchen and living area, making it highly functional and comfortable for daily living. We achieved this by incorporating a fully foldable island that serves as an accessible workspace and coffee station, which can be completely tucked away to free up floor space. Furthermore, we designed a practical dining nook featuring a wall-aligned bench, maximizing space efficiency and eliminating the need to constantly rearrange furniture. Embracing a warm Scandinavian style, the design relies on a minimalist palette of beige and wood tones. Finally, the apartment’s internal balcony was transformed into a charming, weather-protected seating area, bringing the outdoors inside despite Porto’s rainy days.
The Result: A highly functional, cozy, and sophisticated living environment that provides long-term tenants with ultimate comfort and effortless usability.

The Focus: T4 family layout, storage children can reach on their own, reuse of the family's furniture, and building around fixed obstacles.
Planning and interior design of a T4 in Matosinhos, for a family moving into their permanent home. The brief was a layout that holds a daily routine, with storage the children can reach alone. Moving is expensive, so we reused the furniture they already owned: a wardrobe became a toy cabinet at their height. The heaters sat where the sofa had to go, so we built a shelf behind it that runs over them and doubles as a tabletop. A pillar stood in the middle of the living room, so we clad it in wood and added shelves for family photos. The open plan faces the sea, and the children's rooms follow the Montessori method, in wood, beige and white.
The Result: A T4 where the routine has a place, the pillar and heaters are part of the design, and most of the furniture came with the family.
