Terms & Conditions

Last updated:18/09/2026

Welcome to renovar-design.com (the "Website"), operated by Renovar ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Website. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Who we are

Renovar is a boutique interior design, styling and renovation studio based in Porto, Portugal.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By using the Website you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Website. We may update them from time to time (see section 12).

3. The Website is informational

The Website presents our studio, our services and our past projects, and lets you contact us to request a proposal. Nothing on the Website is a binding offer. Any actual engagement for design, styling or renovation services is governed by a separate written agreement (proposal and/or contract) signed between you and Renovar — not by these Terms and not by the content of the Website. Descriptions of services, timelines and results shown on the Website are illustrative and do not constitute a guarantee of any specific outcome.

4. Contact form

The Website provides a contact form where you can submit your name, email, phone (optional) and a message. Submitting the form does not create any contractual relationship; it is simply a request for us to get in touch. You are responsible for making sure the details you provide are accurate. How we handle the personal data you submit is explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Website — including text, photographs, project images, graphics, the Renovar name and logo, layout and design — is owned by Renovar or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and browse the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • copy, reproduce, republish or distribute any content from the Website;

  • use our images, texts or project materials for your own commercial purposes;

  • use our name, logo or branding in any way that suggests association or endorsement;

  • scrape, data-mine or systematically extract content from the Website.

6. Acceptable use

When using the Website, you agree not to:

  • use it for any unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purpose;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or any connected systems;

  • introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code;

  • interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Website;

  • submit false, misleading or offensive content through the contact form.

We may suspend or restrict access to anyone who breaches these Terms.

7. Design packages, courses and online system (future offerings)

We plan to offer paid products and services directly through the Website, which may include design packages, design courses and lessons (digital content), and access to an online system/platform for clients. The provisions in this section apply from the moment any such product or service becomes available for purchase on the Website; until then, the Website is informational only (section 3).

When these offerings are active, the following will apply:

a. Purchases and pricing. Prices, contents and features of each package, course or subscription will be displayed at the point of purchase. Prices are stated in euros (€) and, unless expressly stated otherwise, include applicable taxes. We may change prices for future purchases at any time.

b. Payment. Payments will be processed through a secure third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card details. Your purchase is confirmed only once payment is successfully received.

c. User accounts. Some products (such as courses or the online system) may require you to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

d. Licence to use digital content. When you buy a course, lesson or access to the system, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use that content for your own use. You may not share, resell, copy, record, redistribute or publicly display the content, or share your account access with others. All intellectual property in the courses, materials and system remains ours.

e. Right of withdrawal and refunds (EU consumers). As a consumer in the EU you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. However, for digital content supplied immediately, this right is lost once you have given your express consent to begin access and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. Specific refund and cancellation terms for each product will be presented at purchase and will comply with Portuguese and EU consumer-protection law.

f. Availability. We aim to keep any online system and content available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, and we may update, suspend or discontinue features from time to time.

8. Third-party links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites and platforms (such as Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp or an embedded map or form). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Following such links is at your own risk, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.

9. Limitation of liability

The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we make no warranties that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free;

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website;

  • we are not liable for decisions you make based on information on the Website before entering into a signed agreement with us.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Portuguese law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Indemnity

You agree to hold Renovar harmless from any claims, losses or costs arising from your misuse of the Website or your breach of these Terms.

11. Privacy and cookies

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and our approach to cookies described there. Please read them to understand how we handle your personal data.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its last-updated date, will always be available on this page. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Website or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Porto, Portugal. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions of your country of residence within the EU.

Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 11.8.26

Renovar is committed to making its website renovar-design.com accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to provide a website that is easy to navigate and understand for all visitors.

1. Our accessibility goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which are the internationally recognised standard for making web content more accessible. We work towards these guidelines as we develop and improve the site.

2. What we do to support accessibility

  • We use clear, structured headings so the content is easy to follow.

  • We provide text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images.

  • We aim for sufficient colour contrast between text and background.

  • We design pages so they can be navigated with a keyboard, not only a mouse.

  • We use readable fonts and a responsive layout that adapts to phones, tablets and computers.

3. Limitations
We are continuously improving the website, and some content may not yet be fully accessible. As a small studio, we cannot always guarantee that every page meets every accessibility criterion at all times, but we are committed to addressing issues that are brought to our attention.

4. Third-party content
Some parts of the website may rely on third-party tools or content (for example an embedded form, map or social-media feed). We do not fully control the accessibility of third-party content, but we choose our providers with accessibility in mind where possible.

5. Feedback and contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any barrier, or need information from the site in a different format, please contact us and we will do our best to help:

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within a reasonable time.

6. Legal note
The EU Web Accessibility Directive’s statutory obligations apply primarily to public-sector bodies. As a private business, Renovar adopts these accessibility practices voluntarily as a matter of good practice and inclusion. This statement is provided in good faith and does not constitute a legal guarantee of conformance.
